About Founder

History of Our Founder

Alhaj Engineer Rabiul Haque is a renowned education enthusiast, devout Muslim, and social welfare personality who founded Goalbaria Darus Sunnah Qawmi Madrasa and Lillah Boarding with the aim of promoting Islamic education.


Birth and Childhood

Alhaj Engineer Rabiul Haque was born in the village of Goalbari, where he also spent his childhood and grew up. Here, he laid the foundation for his early life in Islamic education and moral values.


Education and Career

He obtained a BSc in Civil Engineering and joined government service. His career was spent in the Department of Education Engineering, where he played a significant role in developing the country’s educational infrastructure.


Contribution to Madrasa Establishment

Alongside his government job and even before retirement, he began the work of establishing a madrasa to spread Islamic education in his native village, Goalbari. In 2006, through his efforts and leadership, Goalbari Darus Sunnah Qawmi Madrasa and Lillah Boarding were established. From 2006 to 2023, he served as the president and director of the madrasa. Under his leadership, the madrasa has made significant contributions to both Islamic education and social development.


Family Life

Alhaj Engineer Rabiul Haque is successful in his family life. He is married to Mrs. Naznin Nahar. They have four children—


First Child: Zahurul Alam – Currently a government employee in Australia, working at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and residing in Sydney.

Second Child: Serayar Alam – A businessman living in Jessore, Bangladesh.

Third Child: Shariful Alam – An apparel merchandiser living in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Fourth Child: Rafat Afrin – The only daughter of the family and an interior architect residing in Dhaka, Bangladesh.


Current Responsibility

Since 2024, his eldest son Zahurul Alam (residing in Australia) has been serving as the president and director of the madrasa. However, Alhaj Engineer Rabiul Haque will remain the honorary president and director for life, and his experience and guidance will continue to play a vital role in the development of the madrasa.
