About Goalbari Darus Sunnah Qawmi Madrasa And Lillah Boarding
Our madrasa follows the Qawmi Madrasa system, modeled after Darul Uloom Deoband of Uttar Pradesh, India. Special emphasis is placed on the core teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith.
Madrasa education in Bangladesh was initially unstructured. The Alia Madrasa system began with the establishment of Calcutta Alia Madrasa in 1780, and the Qaumi Madrasa tradition started with the founding of Darul Uloom Muinul Islam in Chattogram in 1901.
Principles of Qawmi Madrasa
Out of the eight foundational principles of Qawmi Madrasas, five (principles 1, 6, 7, and 8) emphasize that the madrasa's income should not conflict with reliance on Allah (Tawakkul), and should avoid government control.
During the pre-British era, it was recommended to receive donations from the general public instead of relying on Waqf properties or state officials.
The 2nd principle emphasizes residential living for students. The 3rd principle highlights that the administrator must be trustworthy and just; hence, the madrasa should be managed under his supervision. The 4th and 5th principles pertain to teachers and curriculum, instructing that teachers should be pious and like-minded, and the full syllabus should be completed on time.
